CLA Radio 12/15/17: Atlantic Records

What: Atlantic Records co-founder Ahmet Ertegun died 11 years ago yesterday, so I thought we’d take a stroll through the fabulous music that the label put out during the 1950s and 1960s.

In an industry known for cutthroat bastards, Ahmet was a rare guy.

The material is in roughly chronological order.

When: Friday, December 15, 2017; 6:00 PM Pacific/9:00 PM Eastern.

(We usually start a bit later than the scheduled time, because Generalissimo’s Aftershow generally runs late.)

Where: Duane FM in the Hughniverse (subscription required).

Spotify playlist: Here. (* HOF memorial not included on the Spotify list.)
