Why Did DiFi Do It?

Dianne Feinstein has a reputation for being fairly strong on national security and intel issues (for a Democrat).
So why did she decide to throw the CIA under the bus, and endanger American lives, by releasing the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence report on enhanced interrogation techniques?
So far, I’m seeing a bunch of (at best) implausible theories as to why she did it; the least plausible of those theories is that Feinstein released the report to distract from Jonathan Gruber’s testimony today before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform concerning his comments about, and his involvement in, the utterly dishonest selling of Obamacare–which Mr. Gruber’s death-by-a-thousand-cuts videos showed him to be a sickly condescending participant in.
Get serious, people.
The theory I will put forth here is merely that–a theory. But the meme that Dianne Feinstein decided to throw herself on a grenade to protect Obamacare from a wound that was already bleeding out is beyond ridiculous.
OK, so here comes the theory:
The only thing I can come up with is that DiFi is trying to protect Hillary Clinton vis. Benghazi by proactively discrediting the CIA (props to @Lilleth71 for planting the seed) by alleging that Congress was misled on enhanced interrogation techniques. Of course, that allegation will be a hard sell, since Congress was repeatedly briefed on exactly what was going on. But since the unwashed rabble (insert obligatory Gruber joke) will spend zero time actually diving down into the particulars, why not give it a shot, right?
(If it helps at all, I don’t have an OCD on Benghazi. It tends to drift off my radar. But theoretically, this all is the only scenario that comes close to making any sense as to why DiFi suddenly went rogue on intel.)
Leftists play chess, and we keep playing checkers–and yet we still think that our most simplistic interpretations of Democrat actions are brilliant strategery.
Never underestimate your enemy.
All the old things are new again.
12/10/14: Confirmation bias update:
“Udall criticized Obama, saying he has failed to live up to his campaign promises about transparency and accountability for the CIA’s techniques. ‘The White House has not led on transparency, as then-Sen. Obama promised in 2007,’ he alleged.”
A perfect opening for Hillary.
