We The Extremists

The Democrats have a message for the American people:

“Harry [Reid] is facing a tough re-election campaign this year against a right-wing opponent, Sharron Angle, who just raised $14 million from ‘tea party’ extremists all across the country.” —Dick Durbin fundraising letter.

“Carly Fiorina: Just too extreme for California.” —–Barbara Boxer campaign ad.

“‘What I’m most concerned about are those extreme candidates that are actually taking advantage of the extreme fringe of the Tea Party.'” —Joe Sestak in a debate with Pat Toomey.

“‘People are looking at the Tea Party and saying this is not conservatism as we knew it but it’s extreme.'” —Christiane Amanpour.

Jon Stewart on Wednesday told Bill O’Reilly the Fox News Channel has become so extreme he’s now become the network’s left wing.”

In the words of the Maoist punk band from back in the day, The Minutemen: “E! T! C!”

OK, OK, alright already! We get it! Dems are the moderate centrists and conservatives should be fitted for tinfoil hats.

Meanwhile, back in Reality Land, AKA outside the Beltway:

“A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds that only 25% of Likely U.S. Voters favor a government with more services and higher taxes instead.”

“With two weeks to go until Election Day, voters trust Republicans more than Democrats on eight out of 10 important issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports including the economy and health care.”

In other words, Dems are completely out of step with We The Extremists, AKA the American people, and no amount of hysterical demagoguery is going to change that.

Buck up, you sniveling bunch of crybabies!
