Your Daily Flaming Dumbass: Clueless Journalists

Reuters, 8/5/10: “New claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly rose last week….”

For some strange reason, that phrase struck me as familiar.

Could it be we have heard the “MSM” sing that tune before?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it sure seems to me that whenever the unemployment numbers are not manifesting the requisite number of unicorns and rainbows we might expect from He Who We Have Been Waiting For–which could be said for the unemployment numbers for just about every week of his almost two years in office–the “MSM” seems, well, befuddled.

Either that, or they need three things:

1) A thesaurus.
2) A basic primer on macroeconomics.
3) A glimmering of a clue.

Yes, Virginia, there may not be a Santa Claus, but libs Want To Believe:

Reuters, 7/1/10: “New claims for U.S. jobless benefits unexpectedly rose last week….”

AP, 4/8/10: “Initial jobless claims increase unexpectedly….”

AP, 2/4/10: “The number of newly laid-off workers filing initial claims for jobless benefits rose unexpectedly last week….”

Reuters, 1/8/10: “U.S. employers unexpectedly cut 85,000 jobs….”

Christian Science Monitor, 12/17/09: “Jobless claims rise unexpectedly….”

CNNMoney.com, 12/10/09: “Unemployment claims jump unexpectedly….”

Reuters, 6/25/09: “The number of U.S. workers filing new claims for jobless benefits unexpectedly rose last week….”

It’s all very…unexpected, is it not? Shocking, in fact. Captain Renault as a verb. Another magical thought dashed on the rocks of Republican greed and mean people.

No, actually: Unemployment is almost mathematically unfolding in concert with the job-killing ideation of the Left, which you would have known in advance if you had done your damn due diligence, America!! Isn’t that right, Uncle Ted? (MUST READ!)

I am only shocked at how shocked all the useful idiots are. They expected cute puppies, and they got Hound of the Baskervilles.

Shocked.  Words fail.

  1. expect unemployment to be “expected” now that they have Republicans to pin it on…

  2. Prudence says:

Let’s just hope the MSM will be equally surprised by the unexpected unelection of Barack Obama in 2012.
