Before the gulags, before the Killing Fields, before the genocide-by-starvation and Cultural Revolution…before over 100 million people were murdered in the name of socialism (their term, not mine), it was self-evident that a republic is the rule of law, and a democracy is the rule of men.
Stop calling it a democracy!

Since the Progressive Era, our government has worked hard to be less a republic ie. 17th Amendment. We need to get back to a republic with a populace that cares for more than the Coloseum.
